Trilece

Trilece is an irresistible sweet treat that melts in the mouth, a perfect dessert for hot summer days. I did some research  and I come upon a variety of information about the origin of trilece and as we all know it's from Turkey. But, there are some informations that it comes from South America, and the name comes from the words tres leches (three milks bread). And they are probably right :)

However I find the original recipe and I decided to share it. It's very easy, so if you want to try it don't hesitate, you won't regret. Here is the list of ingredients you need

                        For the cake:
  • 6 eggs
  • 250 gr. sugar
  • 300 gr. flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
                     For the topping:
  • 1 l milk (3.8% if you can find)
  • 500 ml sweet cream
  • 1 condensed milk (optional)
  • liquid caramel topping
Preparation:
Separate egg whites from the yolks. Mix the whites with sugar, that slowly put the bitten yolks in the cream of whites. After that put the flour, vanilla sugar and baking powder. You should do it slow and to mix all the time but with a spoon. Put the mixture in the pan with oil and a little flour on it. Bake 20 min. at 200 º C and 20 more min. at 180 º C. Baking depends on oven. Meanwhile, prepare the topping. Mix the milk, condensed milk and sweet cream in a big bowl. When it's ready you put the cake aside. In the same pan you pour a little of a topping (one finger) and put the cake back in the pan. After that pour the rest of the topping on the cake and put in the fridge. After two hours put the liquid caramel on it.

Bon appetit!
